During the quarantine the head of our department would encourage people to stay in touch and “have those conversations you had when things were normal.”
I’m sure it’s quite obvious where this is headed; of course nobody reached out to me unless it was to ask a work-related question.
I’m back in the office and working a few days, and a co-worker is in a personal meeting with 2 other members of our department that are still working from home, just checking in on each other and socializing.
I want this so bad. I can’t even get this from someone who calls me their best friend.
